Members of the Lydden PTFA would like to welcome everyone back for another school year, and thank you for all your support in the last school year. Fundraising for the school last year was very successful, in particular the summer fete, where over £800 was raised. The money raised goes towards supporting the children's learning & school environment. During the summer term, the PTFA funded the Circus Workshop Day, for all the children - which was a great success. We also funded caterpillars for each class. The children were able to see them grow, become cocooned & emerge as butterflies, which were released into the wild. The PTFA has assisted in arranging the Key Stage 2 London theatre trip to see Matilda (in November). You may have noticed that there are new dining tables now, for the children to use. The majority of the cost of these was funded by the PTFA. As you can see, the PTFA provides support to the school, enabling the children to have those little extra treats/occasions, to enhance their learning, and to provide support to the school with regards to equipment etc. We look forward to your support in this coming year & welcome any suggestions you may have. Should you wish to join Lydden PTFA, please speak to Mrs Clark in the school office. Any time you can spare, however much or little, would be most welcome. Many thanks.
