Uniform Information
It is our policy that all children should wear clothing that is in keeping with a purposeful learning ethos. We believe that certain activities are facilitated by appropriate clothing whether in school, or when participating in a school-organised event. We provide a complete list of the items needed for our school uniform in this policy which forms part of our school prospectus.
Our policy for school uniform is based on the belief that a school uniform:
- promotes a sense of pride in the school
- engenders a feeling of community and belonging
- is practical and smart
- identifies the children with the school
- makes children feel equal to their peers in terms of appearance
- is regarded as suitable, and good value for money, by most parents
- is designed with health and safety in mind.
If you wish to purchase uniform with the school logo please visit Home - Brigade Clothing, LTD and search for Lydden Primary School on the home page. The website lists the uniform items and you will find sizing guidance and information on delivery and returns.
An alternative option, and one that we encourage, is to purchase competitively priced uniform items which are available from local retailers, in school colours. We also hold a second hand uniform sale in the summer term.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to speak to a members of the office staff.
