Hello Year 2! Welcome to Week 6!
Time is flying and the summer holidays will be here before we know it! Your learning this week is on the overview below and the resources you need will be in the sub-pages (English, Maths, Science).
In English this week, our theme is 'Take One Book' and we have chosen the fantastic 'The Day the Crayons Quit.' It is a story about Duncan and his box of crayons, but the crayons are grumpy about how they are being treated, so they write him a letter of complaint! Haven't we all been a bit grumpy sometimes?
In Maths, you will learning about 3D Shapes, including being able to name some 3D shapes and using the vocabulary faces, edges, vertices. .
Do you ever stop to think about how lucky we are to live next to the sea? It's a fantastic part of the United Kingdom and we can learn so much from it. We learnt a lot about the coast during our 'Coastlines' topic, and now you are going to learn about the scientific side of the coast. We will learn all about rock pools, beachcombing and beach habitats, as well as completing an investigation over time! Phew - what a lot of learning!
Don't forget to keep logging into purple mash - you can always choose your own activities on there or complete any 2dos. Keep practicing your spellings and maths using spelling shed, maths shed and times table rock stars. As ever, if you have any questions or need your passwords, let us know through the office. Finally, keep reading! Use oxford owl to find books to read.
Most importantly, keep smiling and stay safe!
