Reciting a Victorian poem


A popular activity during Victorian times was to learn a poem off by heart.

That means to learn it without having to look at it!


Copy out, in your VERY best handwriting, the poem - From a Railway Carriage, by Robert Louis Stephenson. Have a go at illustrating it too.


Then get learning! 

(As you read it - think about the sound  a railway carriage makes on the tracks!)
