What was life like in Italy 79AD?

In class we have learnt about what happened in Pompeii in 79AD, when Mount Vesuvius erupted.

Now we need to think about what a Roman town was like at the time of the eruption.

Use a range of sources to research:

What did the busy Roman town look like?

What kind of people would have lived there?

What type of jobs would they have done?

What was life like for children in Roman times?

It is up to you how you want to record your findings. You could make a mind map, fact file, mini book, poster or scrapbook. Remember to include writing and pictures.
