This week we will be exploring the differences between fiction and non-fiction texts. This week we will be reading "How to grow a dinosaur" by Carol Hart.
Before reading share with your child that a fictional story is a story that has been made up.
Share the story together up until page 8 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzAxgF7UxqM&t=63s end time stamp 1.56), do they think it is a fictional story or a non-fiction text.
Activities:
1. Draw a picture of what you think Albie will grow. Can they label it.
2. Role play what you think will happen next in the story.
