Welcome back! We hope that you all and the children had a restful week off and that the children are ready to get back to learning with us.

Our new topic for this coming term is 'Where will your holiday take you?' We will be going on our travels as a class and seeing where it takes us.

In Maths, the focus for year 4 will be on decimals and position and direction. For year 3 it will be mass and capacity. As always, the focus will be on developing our reasoning skills through mathematical explanation and will be continuing to develop our times tables knowledge through our daily times tables rock stars.

PE, this term, will continue be on a Tuesday and now also on a Friday afternoon. Please make sure that kits are in school on these days. However,  it would be helpful to have PE kits in school throughout the week, as occasionally we may have to change arrangements due to the weather.

Please continue to read regularly at home with your children, with the focus being on talking about what the children are reading and asking them questions about what they have read.

We appreciate the support you are giving the children with their home learning , they are producing some outstanding work. We hope the children are enjoying choosing their own home learning and developing a variety of learning attributes whilst doing so. As last term, the children will be expected to complete a home learning task each week and to bring this home learning to school every Wednesday. We would also like the children to have a real focus on learning their times tables as well.

We look forward to a busy term of learning. Please don't hesitate to come and speak to us if you have any questions or queries.
