Welcome to Beatrix Potter class - Foundation/Year 1!
Hope you had a great holiday with lots of learning opportunities. It is great to see the children excited and ready to learn. This term we will be learning about Our Wonderful Bodies. We will be naming parts of our body and making skeletons. We will also be thinking about our bodies move and how to keep healthy. At home have a chat how our bodies change when we exercise.
Within Mathematical development we will be taking part in lots of problem solving activities involving counting and creating sets. Perhaps have a look for numbers in the environment e.g bus numbers, house numbers.
In Numeracy we will be learning number bonds to ten and lots of problem solving activities. Please continue to count at home to 100. Everyday we will count in 2's, 5's and 10's.
We will be doing PE on Monday and Thursdays so can you please make sure PE kits are in school.
Homework will go out on a Friday and marked on Wednesdays. These are activities to do with your child, so please enjoy and have fun!
We would encourage children to read or listen to a story everyday.
We aim to change books on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday, we will also check home contact books each day.
Books will be changed as needed.
Thank you for your continued support.
