Welcome to Year 3
Our classes are called Williams and Newman after two innovative and inspirational artists!
We have chosen to name one class after John Williams (born February 8, 1932) an American composer, conductor, and pianist. His career spanned over six decades, he has composed some of the most popular, recognisable, and critically acclaimed film scores in cinematic history, including those of the Star Wars series, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Superman, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, the Indiana Jones series, the first two Home Alone films, the first two Jurassic Park films, Schindler's List, and the first three Harry Potter films.
Our second year three class is named after Randy Newman (born November 28, 1943) is an American singer-songwriter, arranger, composer, and pianist who is known for his distinctive voice, humorous pop songs, and film scores. Since the 1980s, Newman has worked mostly as a film composer. His film scores include Cats Don't Dance, Meet the Parents, Cold Turkey, and Seabiscuit. He has scored eight Disney-Pixar animated films: Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story 3, Monsters University, and Cars 3, as well as Disney's The Princess and the Frog and James and the Giant Peach.
