Monday 6th November Hammond Cup 1st round

What a great start to our cup competitions for this season! Both our teams played against Eastry Primary school, turning on the style with exciting, fluent football. The A team took their opportunity to score in the second minute of the match. This settled them down and allowed them to control the match from start to finish. Final score River 9 Eastry 0.

The B team then also followed suit enjoying their football, taking control and scoring with ease. The whole team worked together, supporting each other to secure the win 5-0 to River!

On we go to the quarter-finals!

Thursday 2nd November 2017 Friendly Football match

We played a friendly football match against Capel today. All of the children from both schools enjoyed the experience to play in a non-competitive environment, promoting the skills of sportsmanship and teamwork. It was played in a lovely spirit with children encouraging and supporting their team mates.

One of our children was witnessed skipping down the corridor at lunch time singing 'I'm playing football for the first time for the school today, I'm so happy...' Well done to you all!
