Welcome to Attenborough Class - Year 2/3!
Welcome back to term 4, I am sure you all had an amazing holiday and a well earned rest!
For this term our learning is enquiry based around the question - When is rubbish, rubbish?
This approach will allow the children to ask and answer their own questions, as well as researching and investigating this innovating topic.
In year 2, our Mathematics will be focusing on measurement, fractions, position and direction.
In year 3 our Mathematics will be focusing on fractions, multiplication and division.
In year 2, we will be exploring different tenses to help us within our exciting topic based writing.
In year 3, our English learning will revolve around poems on our topic, exploring the different features and structures.
We will be studying the books 'The Beegu', 'Pesky plastic' and 'The Iron man', as well as exploring different texts through our engaging topic!
This term, PE will be on Thursdays and Fridays, meaning PE kit will need to be in school on these days.
Plans can change though ,so please can PE kit be kept in school throughout the whole week. Can I remind you that long hair should be tied back and earrings removed on PE days. Also, can girls please have a pair of socks to change into from their tights. Thank you.
Throughout the school week, I am almost always available after the school day so please feel free to catch me and talk to me about any worries, concerns or ask any questions you may have. I am always happy to talk.
