Monday 14th January Infant Agility Festival

A team of very excited year 1 and 2 children competed in this festival. They had to take part in a rotation of events to test their throwing, jumping and aiming skills. All of the children tried their best and really enjoyed the experience. The best part, in the children's eyes was the running relay races at the end! Well done to you all.

Friday 7th December Dover and Deal Sportshall Athletics Competition

Our year 5/6 athletics team competed in this event following the same format as the year 3/4 competition. The field events were extremely competitive with everybody having to really dig deep to achieve their best. The relay track events are so exciting at these events with the children running as fast as possible, going under and over obstacles and really challenging themselves to go just that little bit quicker. Our team finished in 8th position. Well done to all of you!

Our year 3/4 sportshall athletics team competed at this event, taking part in a number of track and field events. The track events are very exciting and competitive with the whole team giving it their all! The field events require the children to jump and throw as best as they can to gain points towards the overall score. When all the points had been added River finished in 5th position. Well done!

Both of our year 5/6 teams enjoyed the experience, developing their skills within basketball as the tournament progressed. Both teams tried the best however were unlucky not to progress from the group stages. We will be back next year! Well done to all who played!

Dover and Deal Tag Rugby Festival Tuesday 9th October

River took part in this participation event giving 6 teams; a total of 42 children. For some it was their first experience of tag rugby and representing our school. All of the children improved their tag rugby skills and certainly had fun! This was an excellent afternoon of tag rugby for both the children and the staff that supported them.
